Psalm 4:8

"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety." — Psalm 4:8

• Psalm 4 — Psalms, Old Testament, the poetry and song book
• David wrote it as an evening prayer, in a season when people were against him and sleep would have been hard to come by
• The psalm moves from distress to trust — it ends here, with rest chosen on purpose because God keeps him
• For today: Mom Village this morning, a full work day, Emma's basketball tonight. The day is done, and you can set it down
